It has many uses, like trying out new games before downloading them or hopping in a multiplayer match on a title you don’t own. With this new update, Xbox One owners can try out next-gen games that are usually not available to them. At this time, only a few Xbox Series games are available to try out on the Xbox One: Recompile, The Medium, and The Riftbreaker. Microsoft said it plans to continue this Xbox One exclusive support by adding more games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator in early 2022. This update comes on the heels of the Xbox 20th Anniversary celebration, which included the surprise launch of Halo Infinite multiplayer and more than 70 games being added to the backward compatibility library. Xbox Series S and X owners will also get new color filters that make gaming easier for those with color blindness. It will affect gameplay and menus alike. Finally, the controller firmware update reduces latency issues on the Xbox One by adding Dynamic Latency Input, a feature that already exists on the Xbox Series S and X.
