When Was the Nintendo Switch OLED Released?

The OLED Switch has been available since October 8, 2021. You can order this Nintendo Switch from Nintendo.com. It’s also available via various online retailers: Although some very early rumors said 2020 was the year of the new Switch, the rumor mill ultimately began targeting 2021. The industry at one time collectively referred to it as the Nintendo Switch Pro or Super Switch, but Nintendo made the official announcement a few months before its release, squashing those rumors with the real name: Nintendo Switch (OLED model). However, that isn’t to say that hardware that goes by that name won’t be released in the future.

Nintendo Switch OLED Price

The 2021 Nintendo Switch is $349.99. There’s a white version and one with neon red and neon blue. This falls in line with early assumptions. With an emphasis on higher graphics resolution and power upgrades, Nintendo was expected to sell the device for somewhere in the upper $300 range and compete more with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Sony’s PS5.

The Switch comes with two Joy-Con controllers that attach to the console, but can be used separately, too. TV mode lets you dock the Switch to play on your TV. Online multiplayer functionality can be had through the use of the built-in LAN port.Tabletop mode uses the adjustable stand to let you play locally with a friend.Use Handheld mode to take advantage of the full screen in your hands using both controllers.

The standard Switch offers the same maximum storage as the OLED model but comes with half of the 2021 Switch’s internal storage (32 GB vs 64 GB).
