In some cases, you won’t find Netflix in the Wii Channels menu. It should still be possible to get Netflix on your Wii, but you’ll have to look for the channel in a different location. If you don’t see Netflix in the Wii Channels menu, follow these steps:
Use a Wii to Watch High Definition Content
Unlike most modern gaming systems, the Wii doesn’t have an HDMI port, meaning it doesn’t play 1080p content. The default A/V cable that comes with the Wii only outputs a 480i video signal. If you connect your Wii with an optional component cable, it can output a 480p signal. But that’s still not enough for high definition content. The Wii hardware isn’t cable of outputting video in 720p or 1080p. If your television can upscale low definition content, the picture may look better than a television without this feature.
